Start Mode
Your vehicle controls the engine torque to
support optimal acceleration from standstill.
3WARNING
Using the Start Mode on public roads
can lead to a crash in which you,
pedestrians and other road users could
be seriously hurt or killed.
Only use the Start Mode on a closed
course.
The system puts a tremendous load on the
clutch. Frequent use of this system may lead
to reduced engine life.
Have your dealer check the clutch for wear
and replace if necessary.
To set the Start Mode
a
Start the engine.

Stop the vehicle completely with the
transmission in Neutral.

Set to SPORT mode. (P.58) (P.70)

Press and hold the sel up or sel
down switch and PASSING/LAP switch until
the “START MODE” message appears in the
display.
