When the ignition switch is locked:
The system can be operated within the
shaded area shown in the illustration.
Anyone can operate the ignition switch and
start the engine if your Honda SMART Key is
within operating range of your vehicle, even
if you are on the other side of a wall or
window. If you are away from your vehicle
but your Honda SMART Key is still within the
system’s operating range, switch the Honda
SMART Key system to inactive.
