#1 How to delete an offline device on the Deco app?

Sometimes you may see many offline devices on the Deco app and want to delete them, here is the detailed instruction.

Step 1. Click on the offline device that you want to delete.
Step 2. Click on the Settings icon at the top right corner, then click on the three dots icon at the top right corner, and then tap Delete.
Step 3. Tap Delete again to delete this device from the Deco app.

#2 Can I set limits on the time my children spend online?

Yes. Use Parental Controls to set daily limits on the total amount of time children can spend online each day. Additionally, you can stop them from accessing the internet between specified times. For example, you can stop children from accessing the internet on their devices while doing homework or after bedtime.

#3 How to change DNS server settings on my Deco?

In certain network environment, users may need to configure particular DNS address for his/her network. This article aims to guide you to change the DNS server settings on your Deco system.


Before configuration:

1. Have the latest Deco app installed on your mobile Phone.

2. Make sure the mobile phone is connected to Deco's Wi-Fi network.

3. Close the Deco App if it is already running in the background.

4. Re-launch the Deco App.

Please note: Only when your mobile phone is connected to Deco's Wi-Fi network and your account is the owner account, you can change its DNS settings through the Deco app. Force Deco app to close in the background and re-launch it again is aims to clear the app cache.


Change the DNS server settings

1. Tap “More” on the bottom right corner, then click on “Advanced” -> “IPv4”.

2. Tap “Internet Connection Type”, toggle off "Obtain DNS Automatically" and type in your preferred DNS server settings.
3. Click “Save” and the new DNS settings will take effect automatically.


#5 How do I know which Deco my client is connected to?

Note: Currently, not all Deco models support this feature, but we will release firmware to support it for models that do not have this feature in the future.

Here are two methods for your reference:

Method 1:

Step 1: Launch the Deco APP and tap Overview>>Network Devices>>the target client (you want to learn about) to open its details page.
Step 2: Then please click on the Settings button on the upper right to see the network information you can know and want to know.

You can see the IP Address, MAC Address, Connection type (which band the client connected) and Link Deco.
Method 2:

Step 1: Launch the Deco APP and tap Overview>>Global Symbol>>click on one of the Deco you have.

Step 2: Then you will see this Deco’s network information, such as IP Address, MAC Address, Main Deco or Satellite Deco, Deco’s Name and the Connected Clients, etc.
