Using the Samsung Smart Upgrade (For India Only)
Smart Upgrade is a one-stop solution on smart TV. It can help you track payments, send timely
and renew your smart TV hassle-free.
It needs an internet connection for the latest information and device status. The device will get locked if the
internet is not connected for a long period.
This function may not be supported depending on the model or geographical area.
Registering Smart Upgrade
When TV is purchased via Smart Upgrade scheme, You must download the application.
1.
App is auto install if TV is registered via Samsung Smart Upgrade policy.
2.
After Install, you can add apps to the Home Screen.
When you select the Smart Upgrade App in Home Screen, the app will be launched with full payment and purchase
details pre-added.
Using Smart Upgrade
1.
Open Smart Upgrade App dashboard for detailed purchase information.
2.
Scan the QR code and make payments from the payment tab in the primary navigation menu when the
payment is due.
Troubleshooting
• Payment is due
The device gets locked when the payment date is overdue. To resolve this, make the payment and click on
Refresh to unlock.
• No internet connection
The device gets locked when Smart upgrade is not able to get an update on payment status due to lack of
internet. To resolve this, connect the smart TV to the internet and the device will be unlocked automatically.
• Incorrect country selected
The device will be locked if the country name selected during setup does not match the country name on your
invoice. To unlock, setup the Smart Hub again with "Setup Smart Hub" and change the country as per your
invoice.
• Terms & Conditions not selected
The device will get locked if terms & conditions on smart upgrade are not accepted. To unlock, press on "Go to
T&C Setup" and follow the steps to do complete setup.
• Low Flash Memory
The device will be locked if App is deleted manually and there is no enough flash memory to download it. To
unlock, press on Reset Smart Hub to reset Smart Hub.
