Connecting devices and starting Samsung DeX
Connecting to the Keyboard Cover
Use your tablet like a computer by connecting the Keyboard Cover.
Gently press the device until the device’s keyboard dock port connects with the connector of
the Keyboard Cover.
When you tap
Start
, the Samsung DeX screen will appear.

To set the device to switch to Samsung DeX automatically when connecting the
Keyboard Cover, launch the
Settings
app, tap
Advanced features
→
Samsung DeX
,
and then tap the
Auto start when Book Cover Keyboard is connected
switch to
activate it.
•
While using the Keyboard Cover, you can easily launch Samsung DeX with a simple
key combination (
Fn
+
DeX
).
•
You can also launch Samsung DeX from quick settings without Keyboard Cover.
Swipe downwards on the notification panel and tap
.
•
To use the device upright, attach the backside of the Keyboard Cover to the back of
the device.
