The LG TONE Free (TONE-FP9) is a lightweight wireless headset that uses
Bluetooth technology.
This product can be used as an audio accessory for devices supporting
either the A2DP or Hands-Free Bluetooth

CAUTION: In the list of Bluetooth connected devices, LG-TONE-FP9_LE
is not the correct model name for connection. Check the model name

device, change the model name in the Bluetooth menu of Connected

NOTE: To connect with another device, perform the above procedure again.
Automatic Reconnection
The earbuds are connected automatically when you open the cover of
the charging case. If you close the cover of the charging case with both
earbuds mounted in the charging case, the earbuds are disconnected.

can recognize the surrounding
situation and any potential risks.

UVnano
The charging case has a built-in UVnano
LED, which allows you to sanitize your
earbuds' speaker mesh.
The UVnano LED operates for 5 minutes
when mounted in the charging case while
it is being charged via a wired connection.
*UVnano is a compound word derived from
the words UV and its unit, nanometer.
NOTE: The UVnano LED indicator turns blue when on.
Independent tests show case kills 99.9% of bacteria on speaker mesh
of earbuds in 5 min while charging. Function works only when case
connected to power.
In the case of a white product, discoloring may occur in the contact area
of the UVnano LED, but it does not affect the product function.

CAUTION: Be aware that the temperature of the earbuds may rise
while the UVnano LED is on.

Charging
Wired Charging
When the charging cable is connected, the charging status is displayed in
the charging case.
NOTE: The earbuds and the charging case are charged at the same time.
The charging port on the charging case cannot be used to supply
power to mobile phones, etc.
Plug and Wireless Mode (External Device Connection Mode)
You can connect the charging case to a device such as an airplane stereo
system, treadmill, cassette player, radio, and TV to listen with the earbuds.
1 Push the Plug and Wireless Mode switch on the charging case to
the right to activate the Plug and Wireless Mode. The battery status

3 Connect the USB Type C™ side of the USB C to AUX cable to the charging
case. (The USB C to AUX cable does not support the charging function.)
4 Connect the AUX side of the USB C to AUX cable to a device that you want.
NOTE: Deactivate the Plug and Wireless Mode to reconnect the
earbuds to the Bluetooth device that was previously connected.
If the Plug and Wireless Mode is turned on, the earbuds and the LG TONE
Free app are disconnected.
The Plug and Wireless mode does not support the call function.
The Plug and Wireless mode may not be compatible with some
devices. In airplane models in which the AUX terminal is divided into
left and right channels, an adapter (separately sold) may be necessary.
If you use the Plug and Wireless mode for a long duration, the battery
of the earbuds (including the charging case) may drain faster than
when physically connected to a smartphone.

Checking the Battery Status
If earbuds are mounted in the charging case, the earbuds’ battery status is
displayed. Otherwise, the charging case’s battery status is displayed.
If the earbuds are mounted in the charging case while plugged in, the
UVnano process will commence for 5 minutes. Once this process is
complete, the charging case’s battery status will be displayed.

NOTE: When the charging case lid is closed, charging case battery

Out of Range
If the device connected to the product is out of effective communication
range, the communication signal becomes weak and the communication
is lost. The effective communication range may vary depending on
surrounding and other conditions.
If the device comes back within effective communication range, the product
automatically reconnects to the device. If the device is not automatically
reconnected, touch the left or right earbud once to connect them.

Voice Alert, Change Equalizer Mode, Check Last Connected Location

Troubleshooting
If you see any of the following symptoms while using the product, make
sure to recheck it. It may not be a malfunction.

Additional Information
1. Radio frequency exposure
This Bluetooth LG Stereo Headset is a radio transmitter and receiver. When
in operation, it communicates with a Bluetooth-equipped mobile device
(microwaves) in the frequency range 2402 to 2480 MHz.
Your Bluetooth headset is designed to operate in compliance with the RF
exposure guidelines and limits set by national authorities and international
health agencies when used with any compatible mobile phone.

The following environments affect the range and reception of Bluetooth
signals:
-When walls, metal, human bodies, or other obstacles exist between the
Bluetooth device and the connected device.
-When equipment that uses 2.4 GHz frequency signals (wireless LANs,
wireless phones, microwave ovens, etc.) is placed near the devices being used.
-When using a Bluetooth device (TV, laptop, etc.) other than the mobile
performance of the device.
3. Potentially explosive atmosphere
Turn off your electronic device when in any area with a potentially
explosive atmosphere. Although this is uncommon, your electronic device
could generate sparks. Sparks in such areas could cause an explosion

4. Emergency calls
IMPORTANT!
This Bluetooth headset and the electronic device connected to the headset
operate using radio signals and mobile and landline networks as well as
user-programmed functions, which cannot guarantee connection under
all conditions. Therefore, you should never rely solely upon any electronic
device for essential communications (e.g., medical emergencies). Remember,
in order to make or receive calls, the headset and the electronic device
connected to the headset must be switched on and in a service area with
adequate mobile signal strength. Emergency calls may not be possible on
all mobile phone networks or when certain network services and/or phone
features are in use. Check with your local service provider.
5. Battery information
A rechargeable battery has a long service life if treated properly. A new
battery or one that has not been used for a long period of time could
the battery to extreme temperatures, never above +122°F (+50°C) or
below +14°F (-10°C). For maximum battery capacity, use the battery
at room temperature. If the battery is used in low temperatures, the
battery capacity will be reduced. The battery can only be charged in
temperatures between +32°F (0°C) and +113°F (+45°C).
6. Recycling the battery in your
Bluetooth
headset
The battery in your Bluetooth headset must be disposed of properly and
should never be placed in municipal waste.
In case rechargeable battery is included in this product, the entire device

should be recycled in compliance with rechargeable battery recycling
standards because of the internal battery. To dispose of properly, call

Permanent hearing loss may occur if you use your headset at a high volume.
Set the volume to a safe level. Over time you can become accustomed to a
higher volume that may sound normal but can be damaging to your hearing.

Notice of Dispute. In the event you intend to commence an arbitration
of initiating the arbitration by sending a letter to LG at LG Electronics, USA,
Inc. Attn: Legal Department- Arbitration 111 Sylvan Avenue, Englewood
Cliffs, NJ 07632, USA. You and LG agree to engage in good faith
discussions in an attempt to amicably resolve your claim. The notice must
provide your name, address, and telephone number; identify the product
that is the subject of the claim; and describe the nature of the claim and
the relief being sought. If you and LG are unable to resolve the dispute

Fees/Costs. You do not need to pay any fee to begin an arbitration. Upon
receipt of your written demand for arbitration, LG will promptly pay all
damages, in which case the payment of these fees will be governed by the
AAA Rules. Except as otherwise provided for herein, LG will pay all AAA
accordance with the AAA Rules and this arbitration provision. If you prevail
in the arbitration, LG will pay your attorneys’ fees and expenses as long as
they are reasonable, by considering factors including, but not limited to,
the purchase amount and claim amount. Notwithstanding the foregoing,

Reconexión Automática
Los audífonos conectan automáticamente cuando abre la cubierta del

Puede conectar el estuche de carga a un dispositivo como un sistema
estéreo de un avión, una cinta de correr, un reproductor de casetes, una
radio o una televisión para escuchar con los audífonos.
1 Desplace el interruptor de Modo conexión e inalámbrico del estuche
de carga hacia la derecha para activar el Modo conexión e inalámbrico.
El indicador del estado de la batería parpadea en verde.
2 Abra la tapa del estuche de carga para conectar el estuche de carga
a los audífonos. Luego de establecerse la conexión, el indicador del
estado de la batería se enciende en verde por 3 segundos y se apaga.

a conectar los audífonos al dispositivo Bluetooth al que estaba
conectado anteriormente.
Si el Modo conexión e inalámbrico es activado, los audífonos y la
aplicación LG TONE Free se desconectan.
El Modo conexión e inalámbrico no soporta la función de llamada.
El Modo conexión e inalámbrico podría no ser compatible con algunos
dispositivos. En los modelos de avión en los que el terminal AUX está
dividido en los canales izquierdo y derecho, podría ser necesario un
adaptador (vendido por separado).
Si usa el Modo conexión e inalámbrico por un período de tiempo
prolongado, la batería de los audífonos (incluido el estuche de carga)

Si el dispositivo conectado al producto está fuera del alcance efectivo
de comunicación, disminuirá la calidad de la señal y se perderá la
comunicación. El alcance de comunicación efectivo puede variar
dependiendo del entorno y otras condiciones.

comunicación, el producto se volverá a conectar automáticamente al
