Basic operation
The ceramic cooktop is equipped with
electronic sensor buttons that react to
finger contact. During activation, the
On/Off sensor button must be
pressed somewhat longer than the
other buttons for safety reasons.
Each reaction of the buttons is ac-
knowledged with an acoustic signal.
The cooking zones and the timer have
to be “active” when you want to set or
adjust a power level or the duration. To
activate the zone or the timer, tap the
selection button of the corresponding
zone or the timer. After the selection
button is tapped, the corresponding
zone or timer indicator light will flash.
While the indicator light is flashing, set
or adjust the power level or the dura-
tion.
Exception: If there is only one cooking
zone in operation, you can set or adjust
the power level without activating it
first.
Malfunction can occur due to
dirty and/or covered sensor controls.
If the sensor controls are dirty or
covered this could cause them to fail
to react, to activate a function, or
even to switch the cooktop off auto-
matically (see “Safety features–
Safety shut-off”). Placing hot cook-
ware on the sensor controls/indica-
tors can damage the electronic un-
derneath.
Keep the sensor controls and indica-
tors clean.
Do not place anything over the sen-
sor controls or indicators.
Do not place hot cookware over the
sensor controls or indicators.
