The Polsen GPMK-22 is a kit that includes a stereo
microphone and a shotgun microphone designed for use with
GoPro® HERO4, HERO3+, and HERO3 cameras. Unlike the
omidirectional microphone built into GoPros, the two included
microphones offer numerous creative options for delivering
high-quality audio to any production using a GoPro.
The supercardioid shotgun microphone is optimized to focus on
the sound directly in front of it while rejecting off-axis sound. This
offers great clarity and focus when recording dialog or voices.

The stereo microphone features two condenser capsules arranged in an X/Y pattern.
Ideal for recording live action, dialog, or soundscapes, it delivers wide sonic imaging
and a natural stereo sound. For extra control when capturing a quiet or distant
subject, or when recording in a high-noise environment, this microphone includes a
high/low gain sensitivity selector to further ensure professional-quality sound.
No external power or batteries are necessary for operation. Both microphones are powered
by the GoPro camera via the Mini-USB cable. The production kit includes an adjustable
bracket that easily attaches directly to the three-prong GoPro mount. The lightweight and
compact microphones will not weigh down your setup or extend out into the picture frame.

MOUNTING THE ADJUSTABLE BRACKET
TO THE GOPRO HOUSING
1. Detach the GoPro and housing
from the quick-release buckle by
unscrewing the thumbscrew.
2. Fit the two prongs of the adjustable
bracket down into the quick-release
buckle and attach with the GoPro
thumbscrew. Tighten until secure.
3. Fit the two prongs of the GoPro
housing down into the three prongs
of the adjustable bracket and
attach it with the included long
thumbscrew. Tighten until secure.

MOUNTING THE MICROPHONE TO
THE ADJUSTABLE BRACKET
1. Place the microphone on the
adjustable bracket so that the
microphone mount ts into the
slot in the bracket.
2. Attach the microphone by
tightening the short thumbscrew
from below the bracket.

3. Plug the Mini-USB connector into
the Mini-USB jack on the GoPro.
4. Hook the cable under the cable
guide to hold it in place.
5. Fit the foam windscreen
over the microphone.
6. Adjust the position of the
microphone by loosening the
short thumbscrew. Reposition
the microphone and re-
tighten the thumbscrew.

When using the X/Y stereo microphone, select HI for quieter or more
distant sound sources. Select LO for louder sound sources.
Tip: It is always advisable to do a test recording to make sure that the
sound is at a useable level. If normal audio is overloading the GoPro
and sounds distorted, lower the gain by selecting the LO setting. If the
audio level is too quiet, raise the gain by selecting the HI setting.

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
This Polsen product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under
normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after replacement,
whichever occurs later. The warranty provider’s responsibility with respect to this limited warranty shall be limited solely
to repair or replacement, at the provider’s discretion, of any product that fails during normal use of this product in its
intended manner and in its intended environment. Inoperability of the product or part(s) shall be determined by the
warranty provider. If the product has been discontinued, the warranty provider reserves the right to replace it with a
model of equivalent quality and function.
This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper
installation or maintenance. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, THE WARRANTY PROVIDER MAKES NEITHER ANY EXPRESS
WARRANTIES NOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This warranty provides you with specic legal rights, and
you may also have additional rights that vary from state to state.
To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Polsen Customer Service Department to obtain a return merchandise
authorization (“RMA”) number, and return the defective product to Polsen along with the RMA number and proof of
purchase. Shipment of the defective product is at the purchaser’s own risk and expense.
