Add Engine Oil
1. Place pressure washer on a flat, bvei surface.
2. Cleanarea around oii fiii and remove oii fiii cap/dipstick.
3. Check oii bvei as described in Checking Oil Level
4. If needed, siowiy pour oii into oii fiii opening. Pauseto
permit oil to settle. Fill to upper limit mark on dipstick.
DO NOToverfill.
Overfilling with oil may cause the engine to not start, or
hard starting.

If overthe FULLmarkon dipstick,drainoil to reduceoil levelto
FULLmarkon dipstick.
5. Replaceoil fill cap/dipstick and fully tigllten.
ChangingEngineOil
Changeengine oii after the first 5 hours and every 50 hours
thereafter. If you are using your pressure washer under
extremely dirty or dusty conditions, or in extremely hot
weather, change oil more often.
CAUTION
Avoid prolonged or repeatedskin contact with used motor
oil.

Change oil while engine is still warm from running, as
follows:
1. Drain fuel tank by running pressure washer until fuel
tank is empty.
2. Disconnect spark plug wire and keep it away from spark
plug.
3. Cleanarea around oii fill, remove oil fill cap/dipstick.
Wipe dipstick clean.
4. Tip your pressure washer to drain oii from oii fiii into a
suitable container making sure you tip your unit away
from spark piug. When crankcaseis empty, return
pressure washer to upright position.
5. Slowly pour recommended oil (approximately 18 oz.)
into oii fiii opening. Pauseto permit oil to settie. Fill to
upper iimit mark on dipstick.
6. Replaceand tighten dipstick.
7. Wipe up any remaining oii.
8. Reconnectspark plug wire to spark plug.
Service PJr Cleaner
Your engine wiii not run properly and may be damaged if you
run it with a dirty air cleaner.
Cleanthe air cleaner once every 3 months or 25 hours of
operation, whichever comes first. Repiacethe air cieaner
every two years or 250 hours, whichever comes first. Service
more often if operating under dirty or dusty conditions.
Replacementsare availableat your local Sears service center.

1. Press latch tabs (A) on top of air cleaner cover (B), and
remove cover.
2. Carefuliy remove air cleaner (C) from base (O).
3. Cleanair cleaner by tapping it severaltimes on a hard
surface to remove dirt, or blow compressed air (not to
exceed30 psi) through air cleaner from clean side that
faces engine.
NOTE:NEVERtry to brush off dirt. Brushing will force dirt
into the fibers.
4. Wipe dirt from air cleaner body and cover using a moist
rag. Becareful to prevent dirt from entering air duct (E)
that ieads to the carburetor.
5. InstaiI ctean (or new) air cleaner in base.Air cleaner
must fit securely in base.
6. Reinstali air cleaner cover.

Service Spark Ping
Servicethe spark piug every 100 hours of operation or
yearly, whichever occurs first. Replacethe spark plug every
two years or 250 hours, whichever comes first.
1. Disconnect the cap from the spark plug and clean area
around spark plug.
2. Removeand inspect spark ptug.
3. Repiacespark piug if electrodes are worn, or if insulator
is cracked or chipped.
