SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
contact with the spinning saw blade could
result in serious personal injury.
12. Periodically remove the blade, clean
the upper, lower guards and the hub area.
Wipe it dry, or blow it clean with compressed
air. Preventive maintenance and properly
operating guard will reduce the probability
of an accident.
13. Do not use the saw with an excessive
depth of cut setting. Too much blade
exposure increases the likelihood of the
blade twisting in the kerf and increases
the surface area of the blade available for
pinching that leads to kickback.
WARNING:
Some dust created by
power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling
and other construction activities contains
chemicals known to the state of California
to cause cancer, birth defects or other
reproductive harm. Some examples of
these chemicals are:
Lead from lead-based paints
Crystalline silica from bricks and
cement and other masonry products,
and
Arsenic and chromium from chemically-
treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies,
depending on how often you do this type
of work. To reduce your exposure to these
chemicals: work in a well ventilated area,
and work with approved safety equipment,
such as those dust masks that are specially
designed to filter out microscopic particles.
