DANGER
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY IN THE EVENT OF A
COOKTOP GREASE FIRE:
• TAKING CARE NOT TO BURN YOURSELF, SMOTHER FLAMES with
a close-fitting lid, cookie sheet, or metal tray, then turn OFF the
cooktop. If the flames do not extinguish immediately, EVACUATE,
AND CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
• NEVER PICK UP A FLAMING PAN.
• DO NOT USE WATER (incl. wet dishclothes/towels) TO EXTINGUISH
FLAMES–a violent steam explosion may result.
• Use a fire extinguisher ONLY if:
– you have a Class ABC extinguisher and know how to operate it
– the fire is small and contained in its area of origin
– the fire department is being called
– you can fight the fire with your back to an exit.
WARNING
• Persons with a pacemaker or similar medical device should know
that the electromagnetic field generated by an operating induction
cooktop may affect these device’s operation. Consult your doctor or
medical-device manufacturer about your particular situation.
• To avoid risk of explosion/fire, do not store or use combustible/
flammable/explosive vapors and liquids on/in/near the cooktop.
• Do not set or store flammable/explosive (e.g., aerosol cans,
alcohol) on/near the cooktop.
• NEVER use the cooktop to heat the room.
• NEVER cover any slots/holes/passages in the chassis with foil or
other material. Blocking air flow through the cooktop traps heat,
which may create a fire hazard.
