What are the
phone’s security
functions?
You can set the phone to require the
entry of an unlock sequence (Knock
Code, pattern, PIN, or password)
before the phone can be accessed or
used. You also have the option of
recording a fingerprint impression to
unlock your phone.
You can also encrypt your phone's data
(and/or your microSD card data) using
the Fingerprints & security menu in
the Settings app.
As an added anti-theft measure, add
your Google Account on your phone
which will embed it in the setup
process. If a factory reset is
performed, your phone will not finish
the setup process until your
embedded Google Account and
password are entered again. Don't
forget your Google Account
information because if you can't
provide it after a factory reset, you
won't be able to use your phone at all.

Unlock Pattern
How do I create
the unlock
Pattern?
1.
From the Home screen, touch the
Home button
> swipe left, if
necessary > Settings.
2. Tap Lock screen.
3. Tap Select screen lock.
4. Tap Pattern. The first time you do
this, a short tutorial about creating
an unlock pattern appears.
5. Set up by drawing your pattern
once, tap NEXT, draw it again, then
tap CONFIRM.
