Bonavita BV1902DW Questions and Answers

#1 Is the exterior of the carafe hot after brewing coffee? Can it be set on a table without fear of damage to the table?

No, it doesn't get hot on the outside. It's well insulated so the coffee stays hot and the outside is fine to touch.

#2 can you use it with a smart plug?

You can use just about anything with a smart plug. Just not sure how a smart plug would be beneficial to you.
Keep in mind that once you turn on the smart plug, the coffee unit will be reset and therefore neither time nor brewing schedule will be programmed. You will still have to physically hit the instant brew button to get the machine to do anything.

#3 Do you have to unscrew the basket from the carafe in order to pour the coffee?

If you mean the basket is what holds the coffee grounds. It isn't screwed on. It just sits on top. You need remove that and put screw on
the lid in order to pour out the coffee, but the lid also keeps the coffee hot in the thermos.
