GRINDING SUGGESTIONS
Some general guidelines for grinding are listed below. However, times will vary depending upon the amount of coffee used and your personal preference. The best way to determine how coarse or fine to grind your coffee is to experiment with different grinds and coffee types to suit your taste.
Grind | Suggested Use | Grind Time |
Coarse | Percolator/French Press | 10 Seconds |
Medium | Automatic Drip | 20 Seconds |
Fine | Espresso | 30 Seconds |
MEASUREMENT SUGGESTIONS
For the richest coffee flavor, we suggest using one and one-half (1-1/2) rounded tablespoons of ground coffee for every 5 ounces of water. If you have a Cuisinart® Coffee BarTM Coffeemaker, the cups are measured in 5-ounce increments.
The measurement markings on the lid indicate reference measurements.
For example, for automatic drip coffee, if you fill the lid to the •••• marking with whole beans, you will have enough ground coffee to reach the •• marking. This equals enough ground coffee for two 5-oz. cups, using the Cuisinart recipe.
Note: These markings are approximate. Experiment with different quantities to determine what works best.
