Copy Protection
Warning of Dew Formation
This Unit supports Macrovision copy protection.
On DVD discs that include a copy protection code, if the contents of the DVD disc are copied using the DVD recorder, the
copy protection code prevents the DVD copy from playing normally.
Moisture may form inside the DVD recorder under the following conditions:
• Immediately after a heater is turned on.
• In a steamy or humid room.
When the DVD recorder is suddenly moved from a cold to warm environment.
If moisture forms inside this DVD recorder, it may not operate properly. In such case, turn on the power and wait for more
than two hours for the moisture to evaporate.
Notice for progressive scan outputs
Consumers should note that not all high definition television sets are fully compatible with this product and may cause artifacts
to be displayed in the picture. In case of 525 progressive scan picture problems, it is recommended that the user switch the
connection to the ‘standard definition’ output. If there are questions regarding our TV set compatibility with this model 525p
DVD player, please contact our customer service center.

Do not put your fingers or objects on the disc tray.

• Do not cover or place the DVD recorder in enclosed spaces to prevent excessive temperature build up.
• Do not place the DVD recorder in direct sunlight, or near heat sources.
• Depending on the use environment, the temperature of the DVD recorder may increase slightly.This is not a malfunction.
• Keep the DVD recorder away from strong magnetic objects.
• Do not stand the unit vertically. Install the unit in a horizontal and stable position.
• Do not place any object containing water or other liquids on the DVD recorder. In the event that liquid should enter the cabinet,
unplug the DVD recorder immediately and contact the retailer or service centre approved by SHARP immediately.

When the DVD recorder is not being used, switch the DVD recorder to the Standby mode.
When left unused for a long period of time, the DVD recorder should be unplugged from the household AC outlet.
