The mesh filter in drain hose connection is located at the back of the machine and helps to prevent debris from clogging the drain hose. It is user-accessible and can be cleaned easily.

The self-cleaning filter is located inside the machine and does not require any maintenance from the user. It is designed to clean itself automatically during every wash cycle, ensuring that your machine continues to perform optimally.

  • Washer is leaving black marks on clothes. While researching this I learned it could be me washer being dirty. I cleaned with ammonia & the next cycle I ran gave me a ‘SE” code. While researching this issue I found out it could be a clogged filter but I cannot find the filter.
Any help would be much appreciated.

The mesh filter in drain hose connection is located at the back of the machine and helps to prevent debris from clogging the drain hose. It is user-accessible and can be cleaned easily. However, the 5E code means that your washer is not draining and it can also mean that the unit senses a small clog while draining. Do the following: 1) Turn off the unit and turn it on again. 2) Select only the Spin Cycle. 3) Press the Start/Pause to drain the water. If it still does not drain, call for service.
