HOW TO USE
STEAM FUNCTIONS
LG’s new steam technology allows you to inject fabrics with a
swirling jet of hot steam to refresh clothes, reduce static, and
make ironing easier. Simply select the STEAM FRESH™ cycle, or
you can add a steam option to selected cycles.
STEAM FRESH™ uses the power of steam alone to quickly reduce
wrinkles and odor in fabrics. It brings new life to wrinkled clothes
that have been stored for an extended time and makes heavily
wrinkled clothes easier to iron. STEAM FRESH™ can also be used
to help reduce odors in fabrics.

Turn on the dryer and turn the cycle selector knob to select
the STEAM FRESH™ cycle.

To add an option function, select REDUCE STATIC, EASY IRON,
or WRINKLE CARE.

Depending on the load (quantity of items), steam time can be
changed by pressing the MORE TIME or LESS TIME buttons.

Press START/PAUSE button to start the cycle.

Use the cycle setting buttons to adjust the settings for that
cycle.

Press the Steam option button for the Steam option you would
like to add. Then adjust for the load size using the MORE TIME
or LESS TIME buttons.

Press START/PAUSE button to start the cycle.

New STEAM SANITARY™ cycle is ideal for sanitizing non washable
items quickly and easily using the power of steam alone.
Recommend to use this cycle for cotton and polyester material.
(Do NOT use for urethane foam, down feathers or delicates items)
Your dryer features several additional cycle options and special
features to meet your individual needs.
The Easy Iron option provides uniform, properly dampened
fabrics
for ironing, which can save time and make ironing easier. Use the
- / + buttons to load the number of items in the cycle: 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.
Selecting this option will tumble the clothes after the cycle ends
for a few seconds every few minutes without heat. This option
is active for 150 minutes after the end of the cycle, or until the
door is opened. This helps prevent wrinkles if the clothes are not
removed immediately after the cycle has finished.
This option uses steam late in the drying cycle to reduce the static
electricity caused by dry fabrics rubbing together. Change the
steam time by touching the - / + Load Items buttons to display
the approximate number of articles in the load: 7, 9, 11, 14, 16 or
18.
If you touch the Damp Dry Beep, the dryer will emit a chime when
the clothes are just short of completely dry, in case you want to
remove them for ironing or hang drying.
CUSTOM CYCLE allows you to store a customized dry cycle for
future use. It allows you to save favorite temperature, dry level,
and other options for a cycle, and then recall them at the touch of
a button.
Touch the POWER button to turn on the dryer.
1. Select the desired cycle.
2. Touch the CYCLE MODIFIER button to change the desired
setting.
3. Touch the CYCLE OPTION button to add the desired options.
4. Touch the CUSTOM CYCLE button.
1. Touch the POWER button to turn on the dryer.
2. Touch the CUSTOM CYCLE button. The stored settings will be
displayed.
3. Touch the START/PAUSE button to start the cycle.
NOTE
After the Easy Iron option is selected, the - / + Load Items
buttons will appear so that you are able to adjust the number
of garments.
NOTE
You can only save the customized settings for one cycle at a
time. Pressing and holding the CUSTOM CYCLE button will
overwrite any previously saved cycle.
NOTE
CUSTOM CYCLE can be adjusted the same as any other cycle.
However, once any other button is touched, the LED will turn
off, indicating that the settings are no longer those of your
saved cycle.
NOTE
• REDUCE STATIC or EASY IRON options can also be used during
the STEAMFRESH™ cycle.
• Depending on the load (quantity of items), you may change
the amount of time for the cycle by pressing the MORE TIME
or LESS TIME button. The display will show 3, 5, or Bulky .
3 means 3 or fewer items, 5 is for 4 or 5 Bulky items, and
indicates a large load such as a comforter.
NOTE
• When Sensor Dry is selected with the REDUCE STATIC option,
a Dry level of Les or DAMP cannot be selected.
• The REDUCE STATIC or EASY IRON option may also be selected
during TIME DRY cycles.
• After the Steam option is selected in TIME DRY, the MORE
TIME or LESS TIME buttons will change the steam time ONLY.
• After pressing START/PAUSE, the MORE TIME or LESS TIME
buttons will be disabled.
