Brother HL-L2340DW Questions and Answers

#1 Does this printer come with a USB cable ?

Not only does it NOT come with a cable, but be warned that unless you have a very new wi-fi router that has a special "one push connect" feature, you will require the non-included cable to initially setup the wi-fi feature. And it does not include an Ethernet connection so wi-fi is the only way to use this as a networked printer. Also, the USB cable required is not the standard type-A connector but uses some square (type B) connection on the printer side. I have dozens of USB cables lying around and none of them had this because I don't have any other devices of dozens that use this B-connector. So if you want to use this and don't happen to have a USB B-connector lying around, plan to order the cable at the same time as this purchase.

#2 How good is the duplex printing? Slow? Noisy? I want to upgrade my current Brother printer to this model and it's the one feature I am looking for.

I have only had the printer about a month and I have been impressed with the duplex printing. I have been using it all the time and haven't had a single jam. Everyone has a different idea of slow or noisy. I personally think it is rather fast coming from using an HP ink jet printer. It is also much quieter than my previous printer. I haven't done huge print jobs either.
