Canon POWERSHOT-ELPH-180-IS Questions and Answers

#1 Do you have to remove the battery from the camera in order to charge it?

Since my purchase, I have not charged the battery. However, the camera did come with a battery charger where the battery must be removed from the camera and put into the A / C charger which is then plugged into an outlet. Therefore, I believe that this is the only option available to charge the battery.

#2 I want to use the camera to take intraoral pictures to capture soft and hard tissues. Can this camera do the job?

I'm not sure. The lens does close focus and is small. With external light and protection from saliva it might work. Could you try it in a camera store? Bring a media card and a friend as the mouth model!

#3 I cannot seem to find the microphone, although the manual points to a spot.

It is apparently the little hole just to the left of the words ON / OFF just to the left of the power button as shown in the drawing in the manual.

#4 Is it touch screen?

This camera does not have a touch-screen.

#5 I notice the usb cable has to be purchased separately. does this camera require any special type of usb cable?

The camera uses sd memory, so you dont need usb cable if your computer has a sd slot

#6 Does it come with a wall plug?

Yes it comes with a battery charger. You have to remove the battery from the camera and place it in the charger to recharge.
