Troubleshooting
Problem Cause Solution
Camera will not
operate
Power is not turned
on
Press the ON/OFF button for a
moment.
SD card slot/battery
cover is open
Confirm that the SD card slot/
battery cover is securely closed.
Insufficient battery
voltage
Insert a fully charged battery into
the camera.
Use the AC Adapter Kit ACK-DC10
(sold separately).
Poor contact
between camera and
battery terminals
Polish the terminals with a soft
cotton swab before charging or
using the battery pack.
Camera will not
record
Mode switch is set
to (Playback)
Set the mode switch to or

Flash is charging
(Blinking in the
LCD monitor)
The indicator will light orange
when it is charged. You can then
press the shutter button.
SD card is full Insert a new SD card.
If required, download the images
to a computer and erase them
from the SD card to make space.

formatted correctly

or images edited with
a computer
Computer images that cannot be
played back will play back if they are
added to the camera using the
bundled software program
ZoomBrowser EX or ImageBrowser.
