#1 I have a Panasonic Inverter 1100w microwave, Model no NN-ST641W. I am wondering if there is any way to totally disable the beeper function as I have a child with Autism and this sound causes her great distress

Unfortunately the manufacture does not advice with the option of switching the Beep Sound off or down. I am sorry for not being able to provide you with a positive outcome to your inquire.

#2 Upper plate of cover becomes over heated when microvawe is working, what can i do?

I am not sure which plate you are talking about but I have noticed that some plates and bowls become very hot in the microwave and some stay cool. I think it just depends what they are made of, just trial and error really until you find ones that stay cool.
White china plates and bowls normally stay cool.
