Product Composition

Remote Control Operating

1." "Starting up/Pause

• Press this button to start cleaning in selected mode.
• Press this button to make the robot stop when it's cleaning.
• Press this button to exchange from sleeping mode to selected mode.

2. Directional Buttons

A." " button:

• Press this button to increase number in scheduling or clock mode;
• Press this button to make robot move forward in selected mode and the robot will stop when it hits any objects.

B." " button:

• Press this button to decrease number in scheduling or clock mode.
• To move robot backward in selected mode

C." " button:

• Press this button to exchange from minute to hour in scheduling or clock mode.
• Press this button to make robot turn left.

D." " button:

• Press this button to exchange from hour to minute in scheduling or clock mode.
• Press this button to make robot turn right.

3." "Schedule

• Press this button to enter scheduling mode when in selected mode.
• Press this button to confirm scheduling in scheduling mode.

4." "Clock

• Press this button to enter clock mode when in selected mode.
• Press this button to confirm clock setting in clock mode.

5." " Home

Press this button to return robot to charging dock.

6." "Edge

Press this button to make robot clean along wall in selected mode.

7." "Spot

Press this button to make robot start spot cleaning.

8." "MAX

Press this button to switch suction power.

9. Shows the scheduling time.

10. Shows the clock time.

Note:1. Install two AAA type batteries into the remote control.

2. Take out the batteries if the remote control is not used for long time.

Notice for Use

How to Get Started

1. Place charging dock, plug in adapter, signal light on charging dock will turn solid

2. Turn on the power switch around power socket, then display panel will flash.

(If no command is received, the robot will switch to sleep mode after 15 seconds).

3. Charge the robot in either way as shown below:

A. Plug into an outlet.

B. Press to make robot return to charging dock for charging itself.

For better extending battery life:

A. Before first use, charge the robot overnight. When charging is finished, display panel will turn off.

B. In normal use, always store the robot on charging dock with base plugged in.

C. If the robot is not used for long time, turn the power switch off, fully charge the robot and store it in a cool, dry place.

4. Auto charging

The robot will automatically return to charging dock when battery is low.

Starting Up/Pause/Sleeping

Sleeping mode: robot is not working, light at button is off and power switch is on.

Selected mode: robot is not working.green light at button flashes.

Cleaning mode: robot is working, green light at button turns solid.

1. Starting up

A. Make sure the power switch is turned on.

B. Press button on robot or remote control to start cleaning.

Note:

If robot is in sleep mode, press button to reactivate it.

Press button again to start the operation.

2. Pause

Press button on robot or remote control to change robot from Clean mode to selected mode.

Note: When robot is paused, press button to resume the operation.

3. Sleeping

To switch the robot from selected mode to sleep mode:

A. Press and hold button on robot for 3 seconds.

B. Robot automatically enters sleep mode if no command is received after15 seconds.

Scheduling

You can preset a cleaning routine for your robot.

Note:

Reset the clock and reschedule a cleaning cycle after replacing battery. Robot will only start cleaning automatically after the clock and schedule are set.

Setting the clock time

1. Point the remote control at robot (make sure the power switch is on).
2. Press button and adjust to your local time with direction buttons.
3. Press button again to save the setting.

Setting a schedule

The robot will always work at the scheduled time unless power switch of the robot is turned off.

1. Point the remote control at robot.
2. Press button and adjust time with direction buttons.
3. Press button to save the setting.

Note:

1. Successful clock and schedule settings will be confirmed by a "beep" sound. Reset the schedule if there is no sound confirmation.
2. Turn off the robot to cancel the schedule.

Cleaning Mode

1. Auto cleaning

In Auto Cleaning mode, robot automatically cleans the areas it can reach.

2. Spot cleaning

Robot takes a spiral path to clean a specific area with concentrated dust and debris.

3. Edge cleaning

In selected mode, press button and robot moves forward until it detects a wall. It cleans along the edges of walls for 10 minute.

4. MAX Mode

High suction power for areas with concentrated dust. Press button on remote control to increase suction level.

Press again to return to normal level.

Electrowall

Electrowall creates an invisible barrier that S5 Pro will not cross. This invisible barrier can be used to confine S5 Pro to a particular room or area.

• Install battery first, then turn it on.
• Put the Electrowall on the outside of the doorway you wish to block.
• Ensure the signal logo is facing forward and toward the opening you would like to block.
• Turn off the Electrowall after each use.

TIPS:

Make sure which side is working area according to the stickers on the Electrowall.

Place the robot in the "working area" to do cleaning.

Wet Mopping

1. Dustbin is for dry clean and water tank is for wet clean.
2. The mop bracket with mop should be on the robot when the water tank is used. (Figure 1)
3. Pouring the clean water into the water tank. (Figure 2)
4. Open the robot lid and put the water tank into the body, the weep hole of the water tank should be aligned with the weep hole on the robot body. (Figure 3)
5. Close the robot lid, press button to start the wet cleaning. There is no vacuum suction function during the wet cleaning. (Figure 4)
6. It is suggest to make the suction (dry clean) before wet clean for a better cleaning result.
7. The water in the water tank is flow out automatically. so it is prohibited to let water tank be still inside or outside of the robot when there is still water in the tank. This will cause the water logging on floor.
8. Please take out the water tank when you charge the robot vacuum cleaner.

Maintenance

Cleaning Side Brushes

Clean the side brushes when it gets dirty and replace if it's are damaged.

Note: Before replacing side brushes, checkand match "L" "R" marks on both and bottom of robot.

Cleaning Dustbin and Filter

Clean and empty dustbin after each use, steps are as shown in below figures.

• After taking dustbin, check whether there is foreign matter stuck in suck passage and clean it.
• Clean Filter after 15-30 days'use. And replace it after use for 6 months at maximum.
• Install both Filter and primary filters when they are dry.
• Filter and primary filter could be replaced if needed.

Cleaning Cliff Sensors and Auto Charging Pins

Slightly clean the sensor window and anto charging pins with a soft dry cloth.

Note: Charging pins on charging dock need to clean if dirty.

Nose Wheel Clean Up

When there is foreign matter in nose wheel, it will affect the cleaning performance, please clean it follow the way below:

1. Pull the wheel up vertically and clean it. Please note whether the gasket is off.
2. It should be noted that whether the gasket is installed well after clean the nose wheel.

Trouble Shooting

Error Code Sheet

When the robot meets with some routine troubles, it will remind you by beep.

• Short tone

Tone -

• Wheels or side brushes no work
  • Check wheels or side brushes

Tone -

• Cliff sensor or bumper sensor failure
  • Clean cliff sensor and shake bumper slightly, check whether there is foreign matter

Tone -

• Main body gets stuck
  • Move main body and start again

Error appearance

Circle around a small area

• Side wheels are jammed
  • Remove hair and debris from side wheels.
  • While reinstalling, push the wheels in and out to make sure they can rotate freely.
  • Restart robot in another spot.

Keep moving backward

• Cliff sensor is dirty or broken.
  • Check cliff sensor lens. Clean or replace it if needed.

Bump into obstacles repeatedly

• The bumper is stucked
  • Tap the bumper 10-20 times to remove debris lodged in it.
  • Loosen the screw of the bumper.

Working time shortened

• Battery capacity dropped
  • Replace battery
• Robot is not fully charged
  • Recharge robot

Auto button light is off while charging

• Hair or small debris
  • Clean charging pins stuck in charging pins.
• Robot is not properly connected to charging pins.
  • Check if robot is connected to charging pins

Pick up less dirt

• Filter is dirty or wet and debris
  • Clean or replace filter

Spit out litter

• Dustbin is full
  • Empty the dustbin

Robot doesn't start at scheduled time

• Schedule was not saved successfully
  • Reset schedule. Wait for a beep to confirm completion of scheduling.
• Schedule was canceled after you restarted robot
  • Turn on power switch on robot
• Power Switch is off
  • Keep the robot's power switch on and put it on charging dock to make sure robot is fully charged for the next job
• Battery is low
  • Turn off the power switch on robot and empty the dustbin
• Debris jammed in components
  • Clean side brushes and main brushes
