It depends on just how uneven the floor is. It does best on a flat, even flooring surface, but if you have an uneven area you can usually come at it from a different direction to get coverage. If it's really uneven throughout the flooring area, and you're talking differences in height of more than half an inch, you may have trouble getting to all the areas you need to.
