Troubleshooting
PROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE/SOLUTION
Cannot select TEMP
and/or HOURS settings.
• Unit was not plugged in. Plug into electrical outlet. Follow use and care guide.
• Test that the electrical outlet is working with a lamp in known working order.
Food is undercooked. • Food cooked on the WARM setting. Do not cook on Warm. Only cook on LOW or HIGH setting.
• Power was interrupted. Reset slow cooker for additional time if power has not been off for a long
period of time.
• Did the slow cooker cook for the complete time selected? Select HIGH or the 4-hour setting to add
more time to the recipe.
• Crock was overfilled. For best results, fill crock no more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) from the lid.
• Lid was not placed correctly. Check to make sure lid is seated properly on the crock.
My meal was
overcooked. Why?
• Foods will continue to increase in temperature after desired temperature has been reached. Check
food when cooking time has been reached.
• Crock was less than half full. Check for doneness 1 to 2 hours earlier than recipe states.
