Activating the voice detect feature
You can set the device to activate ambient sound mode automatically in any situation when
the earbuds detect that you are talking to other people. If ambient sound mode is activated,
the media volume will be decreased to let you hear outside sounds or another persons voice
clearly, allowing you to concentrate on the conversation. The earbuds return to the previously
used mode automatically if they do not detect a voice for a certain period.
The voice detection sensors of both earbuds detect your voice when using the voice
detect feature. So, if you only wear an earbud in one ear, this feature may not be
available.
In the situations where vibrations are made, such as when you brush your teeth,
cough, or hum, the earbuds may misinterpret the vibration as a voice.
You can deactivate ambient sound mode during conversations manually by touching
and holding the earbud or from the Galaxy Wearable app.
1 Launch the
Galaxy Wearable
app on the mobile device.
2 Tap
Voice detect
and tap the switch to activate it.
3 Select the amount of time it will take to automatically deactivate the ambient sound
mode.
