CAUTION
When storing kimchi, always make sure the kimchi refrigerator’s door is fully closed. If a
foreign substance builds up in the door crevices, the kimchi will quickly go sour.
Do not store kimchi in a plastic bag. The kimchi may freeze, or the plastic bag may burst
due to the gas generated during the fermentation process. Please use the proper kimchi
containers.
NOTE
To preserve the kimchi longer, activate the desired Preserve mode for the desired
compartment, 2 to 3 hours in advance. Make sure the compartment is well-chilled
before storing your kimchi. Also, refrain from frequently opening the kimchi
refrigerator’s door. Frequently opening the kimchi refrigerator door will cause
temperature changes that will affect the kimchi’s avor and cause the kimchi to go sour
quickly.
When storing kimchi, frost or water droplets can form inside the kimchi refrigerator.
Frost or water droplets can form due to the frequent opening and closing of the kimchi
refrigerator door or the residual heat of the food stored in the refrigerator. The frost
and water droplets have the effect of keeping the food moist at all times and are not a
cause for concern.
When storing kimchi, check on the containers after the rst 2 or 3 days to ensure the
juices are not spilling over. There must be no juice spilling to store the kimchi for an
extended period.
Stored food items can freeze under the Regular-Cold+ or Low Salt-Cold+ mode, and you
must check the items within 12 to 24 hours. If a thin layer of ice has formed on the
kimchi, select the Regular-Cold, Regular-Cool, or Low Salt-Cool mode.
