You can hook it to your cold water line from a laundry hookup (it doesn't use cold water) and the drain hose can be hooked up to a laundry drain as long as it is at least 4 feet from the ground. Traditional washer hookup hose will work fine. I have it hooked up in my little apartment; it's a godsend.
