KEEPING THINGS CLEAN
CAUTION: General Cleaning
Always make sure the humidifier is unplugged before
cleaning.
The water in the inner chamber may be warm after
turning o the humidifier. Use caution when pouring out
the water.
Do not use liquid detergents.
Use distilled water instead of tap water to prevent hard
water buildup in your humidifier.
Do not submerge base in water.
Clean your humidifier at least once a month.
Do not allow water into the air vent. Wipe with a clean
cloth only.
Figure 4.1
1. Unplug the humidifier.
2. Remove the nozzle from the water tank. Rinse the
nozzle and cover under clean, running water. Set them
aside to air dry.
3. Unlock the water tank, remove it from the base, and
pour out any excess water from the inner chamber. Fill
the tank with 2 cups of distilled white vinegar and 2
cups of water. Replace the cap and gently shake to coat
all sides of the water tank.
4. Fill the inner chamber with 1 cup of distilled white
vinegar.
5. Allow the vinegar to soak inside both the water tank
and inner chamber for 30 minutes.
6. Use a soft cloth to wipe the transducer and insulation
ring.
Note: The transducer turns water into mist. If the
transducer is damaged, it may not produce mist, and
may cause water leaks. Be careful not to scrape the
transducer.
7. Use the included cleaning brush to remove any scale
buildup inside the water tank or in the inner chamber.
[Figure 4.1] Make sure there is no buildup on the heating
element.
8. Pour out the vinegar from the water tank and the inner
chamber and thoroughly rinse with warm water.
DO NOT allow water
into the air vent
Note:
Do not submerge the base in water.
Do not clean the humidity sensor with water or
allow any moisture inside the sensor.
9. Dry all parts with a clean, dry cloth. Make sure all
parts of the humidifier are completely dry before
reassembling or storing.
