PUBLIC CHARGING
On longer journeys you may need a quick top up of your battery's charge to complete
your trip. DC rapid chargers are the best way to deliver this – a typical 50kW charge
can provide up to 80% charge in less than an hour and a half. As the public charging
infrastructure improves, the I-PACE is equipped to accept up to a 100kW DC charge
rate. Thismeans you can easily add up to 80% charge in less than an hour. Depending
upon the service provider, public AC chargers can have a variety of outputs. You can
also find convenient charging points at places you may want to stay for several hours –
or even overnight – including local shopping centers, hotels and gyms.
HOME CHARGING
Charging the battery at home couldn't be easier. For optimum charging, you can install
a recommended Jaguar wall box. The I-PACE is equipped with a 7kW single phase AC
on-board charger, which can fully recharge the vehicle overnight. To ensure that you
are always able to charge your I-PACE, the vehicle also comes with a Home Charging
Cable, as standard, that is used with a domestic socket. When using a domestic socket,
charging rates are slower than a wall box. Charging information can be accessed by
your InControl Remote App, see page 23 for more information.
CHARGING
Charging the I-PACE is convenient. This means you can top up the battery whenever you wish, to ensure your car is ready
for when you need it. You can charge the car in the rain, or even when parked in snow as the charging system is entirely
self-contained. The battery charge connector is conveniently and discreetly located on the front wheel arch, while the
charge port allows access to all common international charging standards. The Timed Charging feature allows you to set
specific charging times via the Touchscreen or via your Jaguar smartphone app. This lets you take advantage of o-peak
electricity rates.
