DVD/VCR and/or SAT/CABLE (POWER) that
corresponds with that equipment. If it responds,
the programming is completed. If not, try using
the other codes listed for that manufacturer.
Tips

Bundling Cords and Cables
You can organize the cables in the back of the TV.
1 Bundle the cables into the opening of the cable
cover, and attach the cover.
2 Put the cables from both sides together and
secure them with the clip at the bottom.

You can adjust the angle to avoid the reflection of
light and get a better view of the TV.
Note
When adjusting the angle, steady the base of the stand with
your hand. Be careful not to get your fingers caught between
the TV and the stand.
When you adjust the angle, make sure that the cables are not
caught between the TV and the stand. If some of the cables get

24
Connecting directly to cable or an
antenna
VHF only or VHF/UHF or cable
Also, set “Cable” to “Off” in the
(Channel)
menu (see page 37).
Notes
It is strongly recommended to connect the antenna using a 75-
ohm coaxial cable to get optimum picture quality. A 300-ohm
twin lead cable can be easily affected by radio noise and the
like, resulting in signal deterioration. If you use a 300-ohm
twin lead cable, keep it away as far as possible from the TV.
Do not detach the ferrite core from the supplied 75-ohm
coaxial cable.
The ferrite core is attached to one end of (not the center of) the
supplied 75-ohm coaxial cable. When connecting the cable to
the TV, insert the end with the ferrite core into the VHF/UHF
jack.
Cable box connections
Use this hookup if:
•You subscribe to a cable TV system that uses
scrambled or encoded signals requiring a cable
box to view all channels, and
•You do not intend to hook up any other audio or
video equipment to your TV.
1 Connect the coaxial connector from your cable
service to the cable box’s IN jack.
2 Using the supplied 75-ohm coaxial cable,
connect the cable box’s OUT jack to the TV’s
VHF/UHF jack.
Tips
The supplied remote control can be programmed to operate
your cable box (see “Programming the Remote Control” on
page 16).
To change channels using the cable box, set your TV to
channel 3 or 4 depending on the cable box channel output.
If you will be controlling all channel selection through your
cable box, consider using the Channel Fix feature to set your
TV to channel 3 or 4 (see page 38).
