#1 Is work with line 220W?

No. For it to work in a country that uses 220 W, you will have to buy a travel adapter.

#2 Does the dvd player inside the unit sound loud when a dvd is playing if you are near the unit?

I don't use my unit a lot, but I haven't noticed any noise from my unit. But, remember, these are rebuilt units, so, there could be some inconsistency. At this price, I think it's worth taking the chance.

#3 Why are vhs players so expensive / where can I buy one for
my old tapes

They are no longer made. Perfect example of supply and demand

#4 I can not record from vhs to DVD?

With such a device, you can't record from VHS to DVD. In order to convert VHS to Digital format, you need to buy a VHS to DVD converter.

#5 Is there a vcr that can tape a program while watching another station?

No unfortunately. This model can however play vhs or dvd or convert old vhs content to dvd!

#6 Does it come with a remote control?

I got one when I bought this product. It advertised that it had a Remote Control. Some don't. You have to ask or be sure, I would also recommend getting one that has a manual with it. Its about 90 pages to download from the computer if it does't
