Minor adjustments are generally made with the
upper clutch cable adjuster.
Inspection
Check freeplay.
Freeplay:
If necessary, adjust to the specified range.
Improper freeplay adjustment can cause
premature clutch wear.
Loosen the upper lock nut ( ).
Turn the upper clutch cable adjuster ( ) to
obtain the specified freeplay.
Pull the rubber dust cover ( ) back.
