#4 Why is my microwave making weird noises?

If the microwave makes noise while it is in use, this is normal. A fan is running and sound is coming from the microwave tube that produces the microwaves. This noise is no cause for alarm. Other noises can be caused by heating food in a closed package, so always pierce the package or peel. Only use molds that are suitable for the microwave.
Also check that no precious metal objects or baking trays are placed in the microwave, they must not be used during the microwave function. They cause sparks and crackling noises and can damage the microwave.
Contamination under the turntable can cause grinding noises, always clean the turntable and microwave after use.
If your microwave is making noises that are loud or strange in standby mode, there may be something wrong with the fan running. Check if the sound stops after a while.
