CARING FOR THE FILTERS
The grease filtersshould be removed and cleaned often,at least once a month,
NOTE: If your microwave hood combination is installed to recirculateair,the chacoal filter
(Part No. 5230W1A003A) is availablefrom Sears by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOMEĀ®.
The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned and should be replaced every 6 to 12 months.
Grease filters (Part No. 2B72705B):
CHARCOAL FILTER REPLACEMENT
If your oven isvented inside, the charcoal filtershould
be replaced every 6 to 12 months, and moreoften if
necessary. Thecharcoal filtercannot be cleaned, To
order a newcharcoal filter,contact the Parts
Department at your nearest Authorized Service
Center.
1.Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2. To remove grease filters, slideeach filter to the
side, Pull filtersdownward and pushto the other
side. The filterwill drop out.
1. Disconnect poweror unplug microwave oven,
2. Remove the two vent grille mounting screws,
3. Soak grease filtersin hotwater and a mild
detergent.Scrub and swishto remove embedded
dirtand grease. Rinse well and shake to dry, Do
not cleanfilterswith ammonia, corrosivecleaning
agents such as lye-based ovencleaners, or place
them in a dishwasher, The filterswill turn black or
could be damaged.
3.Tip the grille forward, then liftout to remove,
4. Remove old filter,
5. Slide a new charcoal filter into place,
The filter should rest at the angle shown,

4. To replacegrease filter,slide filter in the frame slot
on back ofthe opening. Push filter upward and
push to frontside to lock intoplace,
5. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.
6. Slide the bottom of thevent grille into place.
Push the top untilit snaps into place,
Replace the mounting screws,
7. Reconnect power or plug in microwave oven,
