#1 Why does my Philips TV switch off automatically?

Television will switch off automatically after sometime where
there is no signal input.

#2 How to connect PC to Philips TV?

Connect to HDMI if the PC has a DVI or an HDMI
connection.
1. On the PC : select a valid PC-format the TV can handle
(640x480@60Hz ; 800x600@60Hz or 1024x768@60Hz)
and the video formats (720p or 1080i).
2. Switch the PC off.
3. Connect the DVI or the HDMI connection of the PC to
the HDMI connection of the TV with a DVI to HDMI or
HDMI to HDMI connection cable.
4. Switch the TV on.
5. Press the 'AV'button and select the correct HDMI
external source input.
6. Switch the PC on.

#3 Can I upgrade Philips TV software using the PCMCIA card?

The Common Interface (CI) slot on the TV is for the
Conditional Access Module (CAM) provided by service
operators to decode pay TV services/channels only and it
does not support software update.

#4 Why does a message STARTING TO RECORD appears
when watching
a digital channel in Philips TV?

1. Your programmed recording of another digital channel
is due to start. If no action is taken, the TV will switch
automatically to the channel from which you want to
record after a few seconds.
2. Press the cursor right button to stop your programmed
recording and continue to watch the current digital
channel.

Notes:
1. You will not be able to watch another digital channel
when recording is in progress. You can watch another
analogue channel though.
2. To do the recording connect the recorder to EXT2 of the
TV and programme the recorder as well.
