Once the locking pin has gone down, turn the open/close knob to posi-
tion . You can now lift the lid.
For pouring, pick the Wikook up as shown in
figure 8 while making sure
that the contents do not touch the handles.
Place your Wikook on a heat source which is at its highest setting,
with the knob position indicator (D) facing towards you.
Adjust the heat according to your recipe. In all cases, when the steam
escapes, adjust the heat source until the jet of steam becomes weak
and regular.
You can open your Wikook to check progress and/or add ingredients
at any time (See the paragraph entitled: “Opening”)
Take care not to use any metal objects in your Wikook.
The inside and outside of the pan
Wash with a sponge.
To ensure your Wikook continues to work correctly, please follow these cleaning and maintenance recom-
mendations after each use.
After each use, wash your Wikook with tepid water and washing-up liquid.
We recommend that you do not put your Wikook in the dishwasher as the detergents contain subs-
tances which are very aggressive and corrosive for items made of aluminium.
Position your Wikook so
that the steam outlet never
faces towards you or any-
body else - fig. 4.
Steam escapes from the
locking pin for a few
seconds. Do not put your
hand over this.
If you notice anything
spraying out while you are
opening the Wikook, close it
again. Turn off the power
supply and reopen the
Wikook gradually while
making sure that nothing
else sprays out.
