Intended Use

This cordless handheld blower is designed for household blowing applications.

DO nOT use under wet conditions or in presence of flammable liquids or gases.

DO nOT let children come into contact with the tool. Supervision is required when inexperienced operators use this tool.

ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn unit off and remove the battery pack before making any adjustments or removing/installing attachments or accessories. An accidental start-up can cause injury

CAUTION: Ensure the battery is removed before removing extension attachment or end attachment. An attachment must be attached to the housing before use.

Tube Assembly (Fig. A, B)

To attach the tube 4 to the blower,line up the guide rail 7 on the housing opening with the notch on the tube 8 opening. Push the tube into the blower housing until the lock engages the tube and an audible click is heard.

Pull on the tube to ensure it is securely in place.

To remove the tube, insert a screwdriver into the unlocking hole 9 on both sides of the housing and pull tube out.

OPERATION

WARNING: Do not operate blower without tube securely in place. Never reach down into housing through tube hole.

WARNING: Always remove the battery when you leave blower unattended or when storing, checking, adjusting, cleaning, or working on blower

Installing and Removing the Battery Pack (Fig. C)

NOTE: For best results, make sure your battery pack is fully charged. it into the handle until the battery pack is firmly seated in b

To install the battery pack 5 into the tool handle, align the battery pack with the rails inside the tool’s handle and slide the tool and ensure that it does not disengage.

To remove the battery pack from the tool, press the release button 6 and firmly pull the battery pack out of the tool handle. Insert it into the charger as described in the charger section of this manual.

Proper Hand Position (Fig. A, D)

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, ALWAYS use proper hand position as shown.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, ALWAYS hold securely in anticipation of a sudden reaction.

Switching On (Fig. A, D, E)

CAUTION: Do not point unit discharge at self or bystanders.

CAUTION: Always wear safety glasses and hearing protection. Wear a filter mask if the operation is dusty. Use of gloves, long pants and substantial footwear is recommended. Keep long hair and loose clothing away from openings and moving parts.

To turn the blower on, depress the variable speed trigger 1 . To turn the blower off, release the variable speed trigger.

To lock the blower on, pull back on the cruise control lever ( 2 , as shown in Figure E. The blower runs at higher speeds as the lever is moved further. The cruise control lever can also be pulled back to start the blower without needing to first depress the variable speed trigger.

To turn the blower off when using the speed lock lever, push the lever toward the front of the blower.

Hold the blower with one hand as shown in Figure D and sweep from side to side with the tube 4 several inches above the hard surface. Slowly advance keeping the accumulated pile of debris in front of you.

Accessories

WARNING: Since accessories, other than those offered by CRAFTSMAN, have not been tested with this product, use of such accessories with this tool could be hazardous. To reduce the risk of injury, only CRAFTSMAN recommended accessories should be used with this product.

Versatrack™ (Fig. F)

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn unit off and remove the battery pack before making any adjustments or removing/installing attachments or accessories. An accidental start-up can cause injury.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, do not use a damaged Versatrack™ integral hang hook or Versatrack™ Trackwall. A damaged Versatrack™ integral hang hook or Versatrack™ Trackwall will not support the weight of the tool.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, DO NOT suspend tool overhead or suspend objects from the integral hang hook. ONLY suspend tool on the Versatrack™ Trackwall using the integral hang hook.

WARNING: The Versatrack™ integral hang hook is intended to mount the tool onto a Versatrack™ Trackwall rail. Do not use the integral hang hook to mount the tool to any other surface.

WARNING: The Versatrack™ integral hang hook is not a belt hook.

WARNING: When hanging objects on a Versatrack™ Trackwall rail, adequately space the tools in order to not exceed 75 lb (35 kg) per linear foot. WARNING: Before using the tool make sure that the Versatrack™ integral hang hook is returned to its original position

IMPORTAnT: Versatrack™ accessories mount compatible tools securely to the Versatrack™ Trackwall system.

1. Turn tool off, remove the battery pack and remove accessories.

CAUTION: Any product with exposed cutting teeth must have them covered securely if it is to be on the Versatrack™ Trackwall

2.Flip or pull open the integral hang hook 10 . It clicks when locked into position.

3.Mount the integral hang hook to the Versatrack™ Trackwall.

NOTE: Versatrack™ accessories for use with your tool are available at extra cost from your local dealer or authorized service center. If you need assistance in locating any accessory, please contact CRAFTSMAN, call 1-888-331-4569. Fig. F

Cleaning

WARNING: Blow dirt and dust out of all air vents with clean, dry air at least once a week. To minimize the risk of eye injury, always wear ANSI Z87.1 approved eye protection when performing this.

WARNING:Never use solvents or other harsh chemicals for cleaning the non-metallic parts of the tool. These chemicals may weaken the plastic materials used in these parts. Use a cloth dampened only with water and mild soap. Never let any liquid get inside the tool; never immerse any part of the tool into a liquid.

Repairs

The charger and battery pack are not serviceable. There are no serviceable parts inside the charger or battery pack.

WARNING: To assure product SAFETY and RELIABILITY, repairs, maintenance and adjustment (including brush inspection and replacement, when applicable) should be performed by a CRAFTSMAN factory service center or a CRAFTSMAN authorized service center. Always use identical replacement parts.

To Reduce Risk of Injury:

  • Avoid accidental starting. Turn off all controls before removing the battery pack. Be sure switch is in the locked or off position before inserting battery pack. Carrying units with your finger on the switch or inserting the battery pack into a unit with the switch on invites accidents.
  • Avoid dangerous environmental conditions – Do not use electric units in damp or wet locations. Don’t use the unit in the rain.
  • Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection, filter mask if operation is dusty, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection must be used for appropriate conditions.
  • Use the right unit – Do not use this unit for any job except that for which it is intended.
  • Inspect the area before using the unit. Remove all debris and hard objects such as rocks, glass, wire, etc. that can ricochet, be thrown, or otherwise cause injury or damage during operation.
  • Keep children, bystanders and animals away from the work area a minimum of 30 feet (10 meters) when starting or operating the unit.
  • Maintain unit with care. Keep unit clean for best and safest performance. Follow instructions for proper maintenance.
  • Stay alert - Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operate unit when you are tired.
  • Do not place outlet of blower near eyes or ears when operating.
  • Do not attempt to clear clogs from unit without first removing the battery.

  • Do not point unit discharge at self or bystanders.
  • Do not use to blow explosive dust, or in areas where air contains explosive dust such as coal, grain, or other combustible material.
  • Do not attempt to repair the blower. To assure product safety and reliability, repairs, maintenance, and adjustments should be performed by authorized service centers.
  • Do not operate blower in a gaseous or explosive atmosphere. Motors in these units normally spark, and the sparks might ignite fumes.
  • Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
  • Never leave blower running unattended. Turn power off.
  • Remove the battery pack before connecting the tube.
