Cuisinart WAF-F20P1 Questions and Answers

#1 What is the purpose of flipping the waffles?

There is a purpose to flip the waffle even if you are only
making one waffle. Pour batter on hot iron, close the iron
and then flip. The rotation (flip) of the waffle iron causes
the uncooked batter to disperse on the hot iron and cook
evenly on the other side.

#2 Can we remove the grids to clean them?

No, the grids are not removable but this is the kind of iron you
want to keep flavoring. We wipe ours down really quick with a
paper towel and call it a day. It's an amazing waffle iron.

#3 Are the cooking surfaces removable for easy cleaning?

They are not removable but barely need any cleaning at all. If
you follow cooking instructions all you'll need to do is brush off
the crumbs before storing. I love this waffle iron!

#4 How do you clean this? Can I wash it with soap and water?

I put mine in the sink, turn it on its side and wash with soap
and water...trying to avoid the main electronics.

#5 Our new waffle maker will only make lame blonde waffles.
No crispy crust. We put it on setting six out of six. Are we
doing something wrong?

I use diastatic malt powder in my batter to make really crunchy
but soft inside waffles and also don't spray or butter the waffle
maker

#6 Do the waffles stuck together when making 2 at a time?

The waffles do not stick together because there’s two (2)
separate griddles. It’s an amazing waffle maker.
