You don’t! Anything you cut will no longer work. But it you have an extra amount of length you want to cut off, you cut it on the lines. Usually between the RBG marks there’s tiny perforated lines everywhere that it’s safe to cut. Just keep in. Mind anything beyond where you cut will no longer be connected to the power source so they won’t work.
