The advanced remote control
The advanced remote control can be programmed to control your TV and/or cable/satellite
box. To contact Bose for information on how to purchase the remote separately, refer to the
address sheet included with the system.
Note:
This remote functions as described on pages 26 and 27, with some additional features.
Menu buttons, described on the previous page, work similarly with the cable/satellite guide
menu on your TV. However, the volume button on this remote does not affect the TV volume.

Programming the advanced remote
Find the four-digit setup code for your TV and cable/satellite box in the Appendix at the end
of this guide.
Note:
More than one code may work with your particular brand product. If you notice a lack of
response or limited functionality after programming the remote, try a different code.
Note:
If your advanced remote flashes rapidly several times during programming, an error has
occurred. Wait 7 seconds for the remote to clear and begin programming again.
To control the TV
1. Turn on both the 3•2•1 system and your TV.
2. Press and hold the Program and TV On/Off buttons for 3 seconds. The remote Source
buttons will light to signal that you have entered programming mode.
3. Enter your TV’s four-digit setup code.
4. Press Program once to complete programming. The remote will flash once to indicate
successful programming. To confirm that, use the remote to change TV channels.
