4. TROUBLESHOOTING
If a minor problem occurs, it usually can be solved quite easily when the cause is found by using the
checklist below.
Any other servicing should be done by an authorized service representative.
If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water,
take it to a service center prior to continuing use.

pressing the Dirt Cup Release Button and
reattach it to the unit, ensuring it is locked
firmly back into place.

The vacuum

1. It may not be plugged into the
electrical outlet correctly.
1. Ensure that the plug is pushed into the
electrical outlet securely.
2. No voltage in wall plug.
2. Check the fuse or breaker in home.
3. Blown fuse or tripped breaker.
3. Replace fuse/reset breaker in home or
consult an electrician.
The vacuum
suction motor
won’t run
1. The cleaner motor Thermal
Protector may have tripped.
1. Refer to the Maintenance section regarding
the Thermal Protector - p.8.
Power nozzle
brushroll won’t
run
1. Hose power cord not firmly
plugged in.
1. Plug firmly into receptacle on cleaner base.
2. Broken or worn belt.
2. Replace belt.
3. Brushroll switch set to “OFF.
3. Set Brushroll switch to “ON”.
4. The power nozzle motor
protector activated.

5. Brushroll jammed.

Nozzle won’t pick
