Important

- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Do not insert oversized foods and metal foil packages into the toaster, as this may cause re or
electric shock.

- Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance corresponds to the local mains
voltage before you connect the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance if the cord, the mains plug or the appliance itself is damaged.
- If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by
Philips or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Only connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket.
- Keep the mains cord away from hot surfaces.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Never let the appliance operate unattended.
- Never connect this appliance to a timer switch in order to avoid a hazardous situation.
- Do not operate the appliance under or near curtains or other ammable materials or under
wall cabinets, as this may cause re.
- Do not place anything on top of the toaster when the toaster is switched on or when it is still
hot, as this can cause damage or re.
- To avoid the risk of re, frequently remove crumbs from the crumb tray. Make sure the crumb
tray is correctly placed.
- Immediately unplug the toaster if re or smoke is observed.
- This appliance is only intended for toasting bread. Do not put any other ingredients in the
appliance, as this may lead to a hazardous situation.
