IMPORTANT
As the colours in the mains lead of this appliance
may not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, please
proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are labelled in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L] Green/Yellow
[EARTH]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire labelled blue is the neutral and must be
connected to the terminal marked [N].
The wire labelled brown is the live wire and must
be connected to the terminal marked [L].
The wire labelled green/yellow must be
connected to the terminal marked with the letter
[E].
On no account must either the brown or the blue
wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal.
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the same
rating already tted and conforming to BS 1362
and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug.
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug tted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must use an
ASTA approved one (conforming to BS 1362 of
the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug - disconnect it
from the mains - then cut it o of the mains lead
and immediately dispose of it in a safe manner.
Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a

HANDLING
Before continuing any further with the installation of this
re please read the following:
• Two people should be sucient to lift the re.
• When lifting always keep your back straight. Bend
your legs and not your back.
• Avoid twisting at the waist. It is better to reposition
your feet.
• Avoid upper body / top heavy bending. Always
bend from the knees rather than the waist. Do not
lean forward or sideways whilst handling the re.
• Always grip with the palm of your hand. Do not
use the tips of ngers for support.
• Always keep the product as close to the body as
possible to prevent unnecessary and undue strain
on the body.
• Use gloves to provide additional grip.
• Always use assistance if required.
BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE:
1. Remove your appliance from the packaging.
2. Keep the front of the appliance through which
the heat is radiated at least one meter away from
furniture, curtains and other ammable objects at
all times.
3. Ensure there is a grounded socket nearby (back of
the appliance).
4. Never use an extension lead. The main cable must
remain at the back of the appliance and must not
be in contact with any hot elements.
5. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
6. Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner
CONTROL PANEL:
Power/Flame switch – Switches both Flame eect and
Power ON/OFF
900W Heat Selection – Press “-” for 900W
1800W Heat Selection – Press “-” and “=” at the same
time for 1800W heating. The higher heating selection
cannot be activated without rst activating the 900W
setting.
Thermostat control dial – Adjust to maintain room
temperature
Flame Eect Dimmer – Rotate this dial to dim or brighten
the ame eect as required.
NOTE: The ame eect can be operated with or without
heat.
USING YOUR APPLIANCE:
1. Plug the heater into the mains socket and switch
the socket on.
2. The heater switches are located at the front of
the unit, inside the door and directly above the
exhaust vents.
3. Switch the re on by pushing the Power/Flame
switch to the ON position, represented by the
symbol ‘I’. The ame eect will automatically come
on to indicate the heater is in operation.
4. Once the unit is on, ick the heat selection
switches to the ON position to choose between
two settings: 900W or 1800W.
5. Push switch ‘I’ to the ON position to select the
Low heat setting (900W).
6. Push switch ‘II’ to the ON position to select the
High heat setting (1800W).
NOTE: The higher heating selection cannot be activated
without rst activating the lower setting.
7. Once the desired heat setting has been selected,
rotate the thermostat dial clockwise or counter-
clockwise to increase or decrease the desired
room temperature setting.
8. The ame eect can also be turned on
independently from the heat settings. To turn the
ame eect on without activating the heat settings,
ick the Power/Flame switch to the ON position,
but leave both heat switches and the thermostat
dial turned to the OFF position, represented by
the symbol ‘O’. The realistic ame eect will now
operate normally, but the unit will not give o any
heat.
9. The ame eect can also be made brighter or
dimmer, using the rotary ame dimmer dial on
the unit’s control panel. Turn this dial clockwise
to make the ame eect brighter, or counter-
clockwise to dim it.
10. To turn the unit o altogether, push all the switches
to the OFF position. Heat will stop emitting from
the vents and the ame eect will go out to
indicate the unit has been turned o.
Safety Cut-Out:
• This appliance is tted with a safety cut-o which
will operate if the heater overheats (e.g. Due to
blocked air vents). For safety reasons, the heater
will NOT automatically reset when this cut-out
activates.
• To reset the appliance, disconnect the appliance
from the mains supply for at least 15 minutes.
Once this time has elapsed, reconnect the supply
to the mains and switch on the appliance.

CHECK THAT YOU HAVE NOTED ALL THE
FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Do:
• Always install the re in accordance with this
guide. If in doubt obtain expert advice.
• Always make sure the electrical socket is
accessible and located adjacent to, but not above
or behind the re.
• Always disconnect the re from the electrical
supply before carrying out cleaning or
maintenance.
• Always ensure the product is placed in an area
that is free from dust, grease or liquids.
Don’t:
• Never leave children unsupervised in a room where
the re is ON and unguarded.
• Never obstruct or cover the fan outlet or force
items into the re openings.
• Never install or use the re anywhere where water
is in use, i.e. bathrooms, kitchens, shower rooms,
swimming pools etc.
• Never use aerosols or steam cleaners on or
around the re.
• Never route the mains supply cable under carpet
etc.
• Never install the re close to curtains or
combustible materials.
• Never use the re to dry clothes etc.
• Never sit or stand on the re.
• Never cut the o the plug and hard wire into a
xed fused spur.
NOTE: Any new wiring required, must be in accordance
with local and national codes and other applicable
regulations in order to reduce the risk of re, electric
shock, or other injuries.
NOTE: When the re is turned on for the rst time
or when it has not been used for some time, it may
release a slight, harmless odour. This odour is a normal
occurrence caused by the initial heating of the internal
heating elements or dust, and will disappear with use.

CLEANING AND CARE
WARNING! Always disconnect from the mains supply

CAUTION! Allow the product to completely cool before
handling or cleaning it.
• Before cleaning always switch o the re and
remove the plug from the electrical socket.
• Ensure that the unit is cool enough to work on.
• To remove the dust, wipe the appliance with a dry
cloth.
• To keep the heater clean, the outer shell may be
cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. After cleaning, dry
the unit with a soft cloth.
CAUTION! DO NOT let liquid enter the heater. This may
cause damage or deterioration to the heater’s surface.
WARNING! DO NOT immerse the heater in water or any
other liquid.
• Never use abrasives or detergents.
• If the heater shows any signs of wear or damage
disconnect immediately from the mains supply,
and do NOT use it – have it checked by a suitably
qualied person.
• This product uses a standard bulb for its ame
eect. The appliance uses an electronically
controlled system to create the eect, therefore no
parts need to be replaced. There are no user-
serviceable parts on this appliance. Under no
circumstances should the appliance be serviced
be anyone other than a qualied electrician.
WARNING:
DO NOT IMMERSE ANY ELECTRICAL PART

MOTOR UNITS OR PLUGS.
