1 609 92A 47K | (11.12.17) Bosch Power Tools
The battery must be removed from the vacuum cleaner to
charge it.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time without re-
ducing its service life. Interrupting the charging procedure
does not damage the battery.
The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep discharging
by the “Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)”. When the battery is
empty, the machine is switched off by means of a protective
circuit: The inserted tool no longer rotates.
Following the automatic shut-off of the vacuum clean-
er, do not continue to press the On/Off button. The bat-
tery can be damaged.
The battery is equipped with a NTC temperature control
which allows charging only within a temperature range of be-
tween 0 °C and 45 °C. A long battery service life is achieved
in this manner.
A significantly reduced working period after charging indi-
cates that the battery is used and must be replaced.
Observe the notes for disposal.
Battery Charge-control Indication
The three green LEDs of the battery charge-control indicator
3 show the charging status of the battery 4. The battery
charge-control indicator only illuminates for 3 seconds after
start-up.
When no LED lights up after switching on, then the battery is
defective and must be replaced.
Battery Insertion/Removal (see figures A1 A2)
Do not use force to insert the battery. The battery is de-
signed in such a way that it can only be inserted into the
vacuum cleaner when it is in the right position.
Slide the battery pack 4 all the way into the battery port
12.
To remove the battery pack 4, press the unlocking buttons
13 and pull the battery pack out of the battery port 12.
Mounting VAC Accessories (see figure B)

The vacuum cleaner accessories can be connected directly to
the dust cup 6.
The combination possibilities of the various vacuum cleaner
accessories can be viewed in the figure.
Connect the vacuum cleaner accessories firmly to the con-
nection at the dust cup 6 and in to each other.

Clean the vacuum cleaner housing from time to time using
a moist cloth.
Clean soiled charger contacts using a dry cloth.
Cleaning the Dust Cup (see figures C1C2)
