Inside the cup are three lines that appear to be evenly spaced. The lowest states 4 oz, the next states Maxe, and the top Max. By measuring I find a bit more than 10 fluid oz or 300 ml. Given that one cup has 8 oz you have 1.25 cups. One person most likely not come close to using this capacity for coffee.

Both frothers produce great steam milk and froth. The Capresso design of a separate pitcher met my needs. The Nespresso is designed as one unit and does not allow for a larger capacity of milk.
