Wyze WLPPO1-1 Questions and Answers

#1 Can this be scheduled to be on for 15mins then off for 15 mins, for a 24 hr period, 7 days a week?

Yes it can. You just have to set “rules” for scheduling on the app.

#2 Does this plug have dimming capabilities?

No just on/off the switches are not dimmable, but each outlet is switchable independently. It does have a sensor to determine a schedule of on/off based on when it gets dark.

#3 Does the device make any sort of sound (e.g., clicking), when it switches on or off? If so, how loud is it?

Yes, there is a noticeable "click" when it switches on and off. You'll notice it more in a quiet room, but it's not obnoxious.

#4 Can this measure electricity going back in the outlet from solar panels like the etek?

It only measures how much it has been used. If the switch is turned off it will not measure the kilowatts used.

#5 Does this work with smartthings?

There is NO support for SmartThings. Wyze devices work on their own ecosystem. Implementation in IFTTT is very limited compared to others.

#6 Will this operate on an unsecured (non-password protected) network?

Yes but you should still add a password to your network.

#7 Can I control these on my smart phone? I don’t have google home or Alexa.

Yes you can. You need to download the Wyze app either through Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. The controls for operating them are through the App. No Google Home or Alexa required.

#8 Can you control one plug with multiple smart phones?

Yes, any device that has the Wyze app and is on the same WiFi network can control the plug.
