The eject button is kind of hard to push - you do have to press the button quite hard to get the beaters out. It is a really good mixer, but if you have carpal tunnel syndrome, as I do, or any arthritis-like issues, you might have problems with the eject button. At first, I thought the button was just stiff and it would get easier the more you've used it like other hand mixers I've used, but I've had this one for almost 6 years and it is still a pain to eject the beaters.
