Troubleshooting
UNIT OPERATION
Ice machine does not operate.
• Verify power is on.
• Verify electrical power to ice machine and home circuit
breaker is on.
Ice machine operates, but no ice is produced.
• Verify connection to water supply.
• Verify water lter is not clogged. Replace water lter,
then follow cleaning and sanitizing procedure on page 7.
• Verify spray nozzles are not blocked. Follow cleaning and
sanitizing procedure on page 7.
• Verify water pressure at 20 psi
(1.4 bar) to 80 psi (5.5 bar).
• Verify bin thermostat adjustment, refer to page 5.
• Verify ambient air temperature between 50°F
(10°C) and
100°F
(40°C) for indoor model and between 50°F (10°C)
and 110°F
(45°C) for outdoor model.
Unit requires frequent cleaning and sanitizing.
• Consult a qualied professional to test water quality and
recommend appropriate water treatment.
• Contact Sub-Zero factory certied service to disas-
semble unit and thoroughly clean and sanitize.
ICE PRODUCTION
Low ice production.
• Clean condenser area, refer to page 8.
• Verify connection to cold water supply.
• Verify water lter is not clogged. Replace water lter,
then follow cleaning and sanitizing procedure on page 7.
• Verify operation of water inlet valve.
• Verify ambient air temperature between 50°F
(10°C) and
100°F
(40°C) for indoor model and between 50°F (10°C)
and 110°F
(45°C) for outdoor model.
• Contact Sub-Zero factory certied service if unresolved.
Poor ice quality, cubes are shallow, incomplete or white.
• Follow cleaning and sanitizing procedure on page 7.
• Replace water lter, refer to page 8.
• Adjust cube weight, refer to page 5.
• Verify water softener is working properly (if applicable).
• Consult a qualied professional to test water quality and
recommend appropriate water treatment.
• Contact Sub-Zero factory certied service to disas-
semble unit and thoroughly clean and sanitize.
