IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic precaution must always be followed,
including the following:

1. Do not leave appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.

se with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been drop
ped,

ged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
6. Do not pull or carry by the cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around shar
p
edge
s or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces
.
7. Do not un
plug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
8. Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
9. Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of du
st, lint, hair,
and an
ything that may reduce air flow.
10. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts
. Do not

rs or other body parts under vacuum unless unplugged.
11. Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashe

se without dust bag and/or filters in place. Do not wash filters.
13. Turn off all controls before unplugging

20. If used on plu
sh carpet or carpet with thick padding, do not leave machine in one place with machi

turned on.

se bags. Once full, discard and replace with a new ba

ys turn off this appliance before connecting or disconnecting motorized no
zzle.
23. Do not tou
ch the brush roller while the machine is plugged in. Brush may unexpectedly restart. To redu
ce
the risk of inj
ury from moving parts, unplug before servicing.
24. The vacuum has an electronic overload protection. The power head could shut itself off if used on ce
rtain
ca
rpets. If that should occur, turn off the machine, unplug it and look for a blocka
ge. If there is no
blocka
ge, reduce the load on the brush roller by adjusting the brush height to a higher le
vel (up to 4)
25. Store the va
cuum in a dry place at room temperature. When the vacuum is not in use, you should wrap
the cord on the cable hoo
ks.
26. Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
