#1 What does it mean when the collector cell light is flashing red?

It means that it has too much dirt in it. Turn it off. Take the screen and the big yellow filter out and wash them. We use a sink full or water and a little dish soap. They have to be completely dry before you put them back in. We put them in front of a fan over night. There is kind of a handle on the yellow filter that you pull straight up.

#2 The reset button on the plug will not reset. Unit has not worked for several years. what is the problem?

First, the yellow button needs to be pushed then there will be a click. The reset button is ready to press, starting the machine. Make sure the cell is in place and door is shut.

#3 Will it get rid of dust?

Yes, this is where the Oreck shines in my experience. The Truman Cell actually attracts dust to it and it's filtering system works quite well. Just remember to clean the Filters and Truman Cell as recommended.

#4 I've had this purifier for 4 months now and was working great. In the last few days however, the machine just won't stay on. It just cycles on & off

#5 My unit has stopped removing the odors in the home. what are the correct charcoal filter replacements(odor absorb) to purchase for the proshield plus?

There is no charcoal filter. The Truman cell is what removes the dust and particulates and the UV-A light, oxygenator, air revitalizer cleans the air of odors. Have you cleaned your Truman cell yet? Also, check to make sure the UV-A lights (purple) are on. If they were switched off, you will not get the same odors removal.
